Job description

Job Duties: Build backend features for user-facing applications to enhance user experience. Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to develop end-to-end functionality. Propose new product ideas and features from a user perspective. Implement automated testing to ensure high technical quality of developed features. Engage in professional growth by working on varied and impactful projects with peers. Design, develop, and manage large scale, distributed systems and networks. Address new requirements efficiently by interacting with Engineering customers. Improve the developer process and experience across coding to operation phases. Lead or contribute to each phase of product development-ideation, implementation, release. Telecommuting and remote employment permitted.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or closely related quantitative discipline and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related position.

Special Skill Requirements: Must have at least 3 years of experience in each of the following: (1) Distributed Systems design and development, including the architecture, implementation, and operation of large-scale, reliable backend systems to support user-facing applications; (2) Cloud Computing, including AWS; (3) Batch Processing and Workflow Orchestration such as Spark or Airflow; (4) Data Modeling and Database Management such as MySQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch, or NoSQL databases; (5) Programming Languages such as Java, Python, C++, or Node.js; (6) CI/CD and DevOps Practices such as Kubernetes or Docker; (7) Monitoring, Logging, and Observability Tools, such as Grafana, or Logsearch; (8) Message Queues and Event Streaming, such as Kafka, Kinesis, or SQS; (9) In-memory Caching and Datastores, such as Memcached or Redis.
