Position OverviewThe City of Phoenix is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to provide advanced technical support, data management, and reporting services for the Police Departments Premier One Records Management System (RMS). This position focuses on SQL Server administration, permissions management, query development and optimization, SSRS report development, and data governance while supporting critical public safety operations.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (75% Onsite / 25% Remote after onboarding)
Key Responsibilities- Administer and manage SQL Server database permissions and security access.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain SSRS reports.
- Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot SQL queries, report execution issues, performance bottlenecks, and data integrity concerns.
- Ensure compliance with CJIS requirements, security policies, and IT governance standards.
- Document database changes, workflows, permissions, and reporting specifications.
- Support data quality initiatives, reporting enhancements, and system integrations.
- Coordinate with vendors, IT staff, and Police Department bureaus to deliver reporting solutions.
Required Skills- Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong T-SQL development experience.
