Job Summary:
INflow Federal is a mission-driven small business delivering solutions to the Department of War and Joint Force operations. As a PostgreSQL Database Analyst, you will design, administer, and modernize enterprise database environments, ensuring the performance and security of mission-essential databases while supporting modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Administer and maintain enterprise PostgreSQL database environments supporting classified mission systems.
โ€ข Design, implement, and maintain highly available PostgreSQL database solutions.
โ€ข Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance while proactively identifying opportunities for optimization.
โ€ข Configure and maintain role-based access control (RBAC), database security, and administrative accounts.
โ€ข Develop and maintain database configuration standards, operational procedures, and technical documentation.
โ€ข Collaborate with software developers to optimize database schemas, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and SQL query performance.
โ€ข Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
โ€ข Perform database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery planning.
โ€ข Support database migration efforts involving PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQL platforms.
โ€ข Analyze transactional and data warehouse workloads to improve scalability and performance.
โ€ข Evaluate emerging database technologies, open-source tools, and commercial solutions supporting enterprise modernization.

Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
โ€ข 5+ years of database administration, database engineering, or database analysis experience.
โ€ข Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
โ€ข Demonstrated experience administering PostgreSQL database environments.
โ€ข Experience implementing PostgreSQL performance tuning and optimization strategies.
โ€ข Experience designing or supporting high-availability PostgreSQL environments.
โ€ข Experience performing database backup, restoration, replication, migration, and disaster recovery activities.
โ€ข Experience configuring PostgreSQL monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis tools.
โ€ข Knowledge of transactional database design and data warehouse architectures.
โ€ข Experience working with SQL and relational database concepts.
โ€ข Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
