Job Summary
Client is seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft SQL Developer to support the modernization of a mission-critical enterprise tolling transaction platform. This role focuses on modernizing SQL Server components within a high-availability Azure environment while supporting a microservices-based architecture. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL optimization, Azure SQL environments, ETL development, high availability, CI/CD, and Agile software development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance, and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
  • Perform advanced SQL performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Modernize existing SQL code, database schemas, and legacy database components.
  • Support application modernization initiatives using microservices and modular architecture.
  • Collaborate with .NET Core/C# developers to optimize API and database integrations.
  • Design and maintain scalable SQL Server database models.
  • Support high availability environments using SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
  • Develop migration scripts, ETL solutions, and data integration processes using SSIS and Databricks.
  • Implement PCI-compliant database security and data retention strategies.
  • Deploy SQL database updates using Azure DevOps and GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and iterative development.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects, Cloud Engineers, QA teams, and Development Managers.

  • 7+ years of enterprise Microsoft SQL Server Development experience.
