This is an on-site role. Local candidates are strongly suggested.

Description:
Current need is for a Database Administrator 2 to assist with migrating existing databases from one hosted platform to a new hosted platform. Someone with knowledge of moving or migrating databases, as well as systems validation after migration. Considerable working background in Microsoft SQL database administration. Architecture and troubleshooting in a working environment. Database administration and backup/recovery management. Working knowledge of backing up and restoring of production databases.

This role will fill day to daily break/fix incident response on our SQL environment. Our SQL environment runs in a SQL Max platform hardware solution, dedicated for SQL performance. The SQL version we are running range from 2008 2019. We also have a small Oracle footprint, some experience in Oracle is great, but the primary focus will be SQL. Other daily tasks may include utilized for running updates, restore, and recovery if or when required.

We are looking to free up some work for our dedicated DBA who is working primarily on project work and migrations. Currently working on a SQL Mac migration project to move from an EOL hardware to a new solution.
