Database Administrators maintain and provide technical support for the database and reporting environment.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

-Serve as Enterprise Architect for database technology and data reporting solutions.

-Responsibilities include strategic planning, solution design, database security, performance management, capacity management, operational procedures and disaster recovery planning.

-Provide 3rd level technical support for the enterprise database and reporting environment.

-Lead efforts with developers, IT technology teams and business partners to support current and future enterprise strategic objectives.

-Lead and manage efforts with vendors and consultants to evaluate and implement new technology.

-Serve as subject matter expert to support developers, business partners and other stakeholders throughout application development initiatives.

-Design and implement reporting solutions to meet business partner requirements, including data models, dimension tables, etc.

-Develop transaction processing environment models for capacity planning and performance management programs.

-Develop and implement database security policies and procedures

-Develop and implement processes and tools to monitor database operations and performance.

-Develop and implement database disaster recovery strategies, tools and procedures.

-Work with business partners to migrate legacy database implementations to enterprise standards.

-Perform code reviews of SQL scripts submitted through Team Foundation Server (TFS) Release Management.

-Manage and monitor all SQL server database backup and recovery processes.

-Design, implement and manage all Microsoft SQL server installation and operational processes, including performance tuning and patch management procedures.

-Execute test procedures for software debugging and performance tuning purposes.

-Collaborate with network administrators, systems analysts, programmers, and other software engineers to resolve software defects in company systems.

-Monitor ETL loads for core banking and enterprise data warehouse systems. Lead and participate in daily stand-up meetings and SCRUM activities.

-Support and promote enterprise change management processes.

-Research, document and implement project requirements and specifications

-Document all processes and standards. Other duties as assigned.

Team Lead Responsibilities:

-Work closely with Database & Development Manager to monitor and manage work queue to meet deadlines and business partner expectations.

-Assist Database & Development Manager with workload prioritization, resource assignments and staff communications.

-Train, mentor and develop DBA staff and other IT team members, including back-up resources for enterprise database functions.

-Identify process improvement opportunities and develop solutions

-Attend meetings as directed by Database and Development Manager. Other duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $107000.00 - $143000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

15% annual bonus target (with potential for higher payouts based on company performance). Potential long-term incentive (LTI) awards for high performers. Pension program with a 5% annual allocation.
