Data Strategy & Analytics Consultant
Contract Position | Remote/Hybrid (Flexible) | Immediate Need | $90,000-120,000

CFS Technology has partnered with a growing organization seeking a Data Strategy & Analytics Consultant to help transform their data environment and establish a more modern, scalable data strategy. This contract role will focus on improving data connectivity, optimizing reporting capabilities, and supporting the transition from traditional on-premise systems to a cloud-based data lake environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of data architecture, analytics, and business intelligence experience, with the ability to understand existing systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and help build a foundation for future data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support the organization’s data strategy, including roadmap development and best practices
  • Analyze disconnected systems and create solutions to improve data integration, accessibility, and accuracy
  • Design, build, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions
  • Support migration efforts from on-premise data environments to a modern cloud-based data lake architecture
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Assist with data modeling, ETL processes, and system integrations
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, and emerging technologies to improve data capabilities
  • Support data governance, documentation, and reporting standards
Qualifications:
  • Strong experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, and reporting optimization
  • Experience developing and executing data strategies within complex environments
  • Background integrating data from multiple disconnected systems
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and migration initiatives (Azure, AWS, or similar)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with databases, ETL processes, and data pipelines
  • Experience transitioning from traditional on-premise data environments to cloud-based architectures
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical teams and business users
  • Experience with AI tools, agents, or automation technologies is a plus but not required
Ideal Background:
  • Data Analyst, BI Developer, Data Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Systems Administrator with strong analytics experience
  • Experience supporting Microsoft environments, system integrations, and enterprise reporting
  • A hands-on professional who can both define strategy and execute technical solutions
