Job description

Join Global Supplier Services in a high-impact category role focused on Market Data and Broker, Content, and Exchange services. You'll collaborate with senior stakeholders, shape sourcing strategies, and deliver commercial outcomes by leveraging firmwide scale-helping ensure employees can access contracted services efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining strong governance and compliance.

As a Category Sourcing Manager within Global Supplier Services, you will support sourcing and contracting activities for third-party supplier spend across Market Data and related services (including trading platforms, exchanges, pricing services, research subscriptions, and broker services). You will build strong relationships with internal stakeholders-primarily within the Commercial & Investment Bank and Asset & Wealth Management-conduct supplier due diligence, run competitive sourcing processes, negotiate commercial terms, and partner with Legal, Risk, Third Party Oversight, and Finance to execute agreements in line with policy and procedural requirements

Job Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end sourcing and contracting for third-party supplier spend across Market Data and related services within a line of business.
  • Build stakeholder partnerships with executives and teams (including Market Data Services and Vendor Management Offices) to understand business drivers and third-party requirements. 
  • Support vendor rationalization efforts across the Commercial & Investment Bank and Asset & Wealth Management. 
  • Drive channel compliance across the vendor landscape and help ensure contracted goods/services can be obtained efficiently and cost-effectively on a global basis
  • Conduct supplier due diligence and partner with clients and stakeholders to define sourcing requirements. 
  • Support negotiations and contract development through approval and execution in partnership with internal control functions. 
  • Maintain adherence to policy and procedural guidelines for sourcing and contracting activities. 
  • Partner with regional teams on local, regional, and global sourcing initiatives as needed. 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 2 years of Market Data Services experience. 

  • Knowledge of Sourcing processes 

  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and judgment, with the ability to  manage multiple priorities and deliver under deadlines

  • Ability to work effectively across regions and with all levels of management. 

  • Client management and relationship management skills. 

  • Strong financial analysis skills and experience conducting cost/spend analysis. 

  • Knowledge of Ariba procurement tool.

  • Understanding of legal contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • Knowledge of ARIBA and contract drafting 
  • Category/spend management experience (managing a market facing category)
  • Project management experience delivering complex initiatives. 
  • Proven track record of broad, strategic thinking in a Sourcing or Vendor Management role.
