Job description

Associate Sourcing Specialist
Location: Vernon Hills, IL
Pay Range: $25-$30 per hour
Employment Type: 3-6 Month Contract Assisgment
Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday, 8-5

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for sourcing and supply chain management? In this dynamic position, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless sourcing operations, contributing directly to our mission of delivering top-quality products to customers worldwide.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support sourcing activities related to New Product Launch (NPL) projects, ensuring timely execution and coordination with product management and other departments.
  • Assist in gathering supplier requirements, obtaining quotes, and tracking milestones to uphold project timelines.
  • Manage vendor setup processes, including contract renewals, compliance, and accurate record-keeping in SAP.
  • Maintain and update vendor pricing data, ensuring accuracy and communication across relevant teams.
  • Support supplier quality initiatives, including tracking rework progress and coordinating with Quality and Regulatory teams.
  • Oversee packaging artwork changes and coordinate updates across suppliers and internal teams.
  • Compile vendor scorecard metrics, maintain performance trackers, and prepare reports for leadership review.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, quality, finance, and product teams to ensure smooth communication and documentation management.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of procurement or supply chain experience.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and follow-up capabilities.
  • Experience with SAP and Excel is highly desirable.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with vendor management systems and sourcing tools.
  • Knowledge of data management and reporting practices.
  • Prior experience supporting new product launches or project management.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on procurement or supply chain experience, ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and external vendors.
  • Willingness to support continuous process improvements.
