Job description

QTS Data Centersis seeking a Senior Revenue Reporting Analyst to work from our Overland Park, KS Headquarters location.

WHO YOU ARE:

The Senior Revenue Reporting Analyst is responsible for the preparation, review and analysis of QTS' internal and external revenue reporting. This position reports to the Revenue Accounting Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead preparer of various monthly revenue related files (e.g. cumulative contracted revenue, new business booked, backlog, etc.).

  • Assists in the preparation and timely distribution of monthly internal reporting packages, including compilation and reporting on various revenue performance metrics and statistics.

  • Thoroughly understand underlying contract provisions to ensure accuracy of revenue reporting.

  • Collaborate with multiple groups within the organization (Sales, Billing, SalesOps, Site Accounting, Legal etc.) to review order-to-cash process accuracy and ensure it satisfies reporting needs.

  • Assists in revenue forecasting and review of monthly results.

  • Leverage systems (Workday, Salesforce, Tableau, Excel) to automate manual processes and improve and/or enhance granularity of data.

  • Use data analysis concepts, experience, and analytical skills to resolve issues in creative and effective ways.

  • Effective communication and explanation of lease/customer level revenue metrics to various groups within the organization (e.g. Accounting, Strategic Planning & Investments, Budgeting, Sales, etc.)

  • Provide analysis and support for other departments as requested.

  • Collaborate with other departments to help the revenue reporting function scale in an efficient way.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • Three or more years of relevant data analysis, financial reporting, or accounting experience

  • Advanced skills in Excel required

  • Experience reviewing and analyzing customer contracts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • Commercial real estate or data center industry experience

  • Prior experience preparing and analyzing large data sets

  • Experience with Salesforce, Workday, Tableau, and/or Alteryx

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical/technical skills and experience analyzing and interpreting data

  • Detail oriented; prepares accurate and timely work product with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Professional agility - flexibility to adapt to changing needs of the department and to various changes in priorities.

  • Sound organizational skills necessary to multi-task projects of varying duration and ad-hoc data requests.

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work extended hours as needed.
