Job Summary
Work with Huhtamaki internal and external customers on all quality related issues. This job requires extensive working knowledge of SPC, Excel, Access & word systems. Must be able to perform tasks necessary for preparation for food safety audits utilizing SQF food safety systems standards. Oversee all aspects of the ETQ systems as well participate in replacement systems team reviews. Maintain X-rite computerized color control systems. Track and communicate monthly quality production reports.
Essential Functions
  • Review, investigate and communicate internal and external customer complaints. Prepare customer complaint responses. All complaints will require written communication utilizing ETQ. Oversee the ETQ day to day database administration for De Soto manufacturing.
  • Analyzes, collect & report all quality manufacturing data monthly for De Soto manufacturing management. Participate in CI teams to meet annual stated goals.
  • Ability to analyze & problem solve sheet fed press issues with press supervisor and press personnel. Interact with pre-press department on pre-press issues on a continuing basis.
  • Must be able to use, program and interpret Data from X-rite Spectrophotometer equipment. Oversee the day-to-day database administration.
  • Prepare and lead plant through SQF systems audits and lead internal HACCP teams for De Soto location. Oversee food packaging safety for location and assigned customers.
  • Work with external & internal customers in problem solving of critical issues. Travel to customer facilities to evaluate customer issues as it relates to the printing and cup forming operations.
  • Must be a self-starter with ingenuity and the ability to work independently in completing large assignments. Analyze statistical data in a sig sigma environment.
  • Work with local team and/or other facilities to prepare for SQF, YUM, FSC, PEFC & SFI and any other applicable customer audits.

Required
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This person as noted above must be a self-starter. This job requires an extensive background and understanding of statistical processes and methods. Must be proficient in computer applications, including spreadsheet analysis of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and SPC software systems. Strong mathematical skills required.
  • Bachelor's degree (Industrial Engineering preferred) or equivalent
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in the quality, food, food packaging or printing related fields.
  • Must possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer expectations and requirements. Strong written, oral, and listening skills will also be required.
