What will your role be?
Scalian is seeking a Supply Chain Quality Manager (SCQM) with a strong foundation in supply chain operations, quality management systems, and supplier performance recovery. In this role, you will take full ownership of quality performance across critical suppliers, driving corrective actions, recovery plans, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure quality and compliance throughout the supply chain.
Your primary responsibility will be to mitigate supplier-related quality issues, manage quality recovery plans, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure consistent delivery of conforming parts, materials, or services.
Job Description
  • Lead quality recovery efforts for underperforming suppliers by managing root cause investigations, containment actions, and long-term corrective action plans
  • Respond quickly and effectively to supplier quality crises to minimize supply chain disruptions and ensure continuity of supply
  • Monitor supplier quality performance using key indicators such as PPM, non-conformance reports (NCRs), audit findings, and first article inspection (FAI) results
  • Initiate and manage improvement or escalation plans based on supplier performance data and trends
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, manufacturing, and internal quality teams to align on quality expectations and drive consistent standards
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving activities such as 8D reports, 5 Why analysis, and root cause workshops with suppliers
  • Conduct or support supplier audits, quality system evaluations, and production readiness reviews in line with industry and customer requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, APQP, PPAP)
  • Ensure suppliers comply with all relevant regulatory, contractual, and quality management system standards
  • Track and report progress of supplier recovery activities, ensuring clear communication with internal stakeholders and customers
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality scorecards, using data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality management, supplier development, or supply chain operations
  • Proven experience managing supplier corrective actions and driving recovery plans
  • Strong understanding of quality standards, quality tools (8D, FMEA, control plans), and regulatory compliance
  • Familiarity with supply chain management systems (SAP preferred) and strong Excel/data analysis skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Strong analytical mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and deliver measurable quality outcomes
