Job description

Job Title: Quality Control Manager (Printing / Manufacturing Environment)

Location: Porter County, IN Area

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: M-F 7:00 am-3:30 pm (OT as needed)

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead quality initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing and print production environment. This individual will oversee quality systems, establish and maintain quality standards, and drive continuous improvement efforts to ensure products consistently meet customer expectations and company specifications.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience managing quality processes within a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work cross-functionally with production, operations, and leadership teams.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures
  • Lead and manage quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the production process
  • Establish quality standards and ensure compliance with customer specifications and company expectations
  • Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Investigate quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Analyze quality data, metrics, and trends to identify improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with production, operations, and leadership teams to improve workflow efficiency and reduce waste
  • Ensure quality documentation and reporting are accurate and maintained
  • Train and mentor employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and regulatory requirements


Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of quality control or quality assurance experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous leadership or management experience
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, process improvement, and root cause analysis
  • Experience implementing corrective and preventative action plans
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment


Preferred:

  • Experience within printing, graphics, packaging, or manufacturing industries
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Experience with audits, quality metrics, and process documentation
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred
