Job description

The Data Quality Lead is responsible for leading the execution of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Data Quality (DQ) controls framework, ensuring data quality is quantifiable, repeatable, auditable, and proactively managed across all EDW pipelines and layers. This role partners closely with Data Owners/Stewards, EDW Engineering, Governance, and Program Management to operationalize data quality standards, rules, metrics, monitoring, and remediation processes.

The Data Quality Lead owns day-to-day DQ execution oversight, issue triage, reporting, and continuous improvement, while ensuring alignment with business outcomes, regulatory reporting needs, and audit expectations.

Key Responsibilities

· Execute the EDW data quality (DQ) controls framework across pipelines and layers.

· Implement and maintain standardized DQ rules, metadata, thresholds, and severity.

· Validate business rules and critical data elements (CDEs) with Data Owners/Stewards.

· Manage DQ rule lifecycle and change control (create, update, approve, retire).

· Maintain DQ monitoring, alerting, and exception management.

· Triage DQ failures, assess impact, and coordinate remediation with engineering and business teams.

· Maintain failure evidence (records, metrics, audit trails) for traceability and compliance.

· Deliver DQ dashboards, scorecards, and operational reporting to stakeholders.

· Define and track DQ metrics aligned to SLAs, success criteria, and governance needs.

· Serve as the day-to-day DQ liaison and drive continuous improvement across teams.
