Job description

Amazon's eCommerce Foundation (eCF) organization is responsible for the core components that drive the Amazon website and customer experience. Serving millions of customer page views and orders per day, eCF builds for scale. As an organization within eCF, the Business Data Technologies (BDT) group is no exception.

We collect exabytes of data from thousands of data sources inside Amazon including the Amazon catalog system, inventory system, customer order system, page views on the website and Alexa systems. We also support Amazon subsidiaries such as IMDB and Audible. We provide interfaces for our internal customers to access and query the data hundreds of thousands of times per day, using Amazon Web Service's (AWS) Redshift, Hive, Spark and Oracle.

The senior leaders need a light weight mechanism to help bring visibility, share best practices, and provide better communication and collaboration across teams. This role works closely with Tech Director, VPs and Principal Engineers to identify patterns, new trends, goals and areas for cross-org collaboration. This role is unique in that it does not support just one organization, instead focuses on best practices that can be applicable to several or all within Stores, Devices and Others.
In this role, you will be responsible for projects that span across the organization and contribute to our eCF community.
The right candidate will have proven Program Management skills and the ability to translate technical needs and pain points, into projects or programs that scale

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), ability to work with technical teams across various groups to create strategy for and drive programs. The right candidate will have excellent organizational skills and proven program management experience with meticulous attention to detail and strong bias for action. Most of the project teams you'll be working directly with are volunteers to the effort so being able to influence without authority will be very important to this role and your success.

To be successful in this position, you must be highly motivated, creative and a self-starter with strong time management skills who is able to see the big picture, execute flawlessly, and drive against timelines and project roadmaps.
Responsibilities
Work closely with internal team members to establish mechanism for inspection and awareness of progress across cross cutting initiatives such as Engineering Excellence and other.
Creation of communication mechanisms for collaboration across SVPs in the broader Consumer.
Document, maintain and report on program processes
Identify and manage operational best practices with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction
Collaborate with and support NA Consumer Tech leaders/members in execution of program initiatives
Identify new areas of engagement and focus and where teams can continue to drive innovation through the Tech Community.
Effective communication with Senior and VP level partners both written and verbal
Perform general administrative functions such as scheduling meetings, event management, and marketing
