What you will be doing
The Data Processing Clerk (Hybrid) is primarily responsible for Dealer Claims processing and investigations. You will also work with your team to coordinate task completion, audit the refill discrepancy log and make corrections as needed, process dealer claims on the warehouse floor by conducting cycle counts in assigned locations, backfill for Volvo Construction Equipment Clerical as needed, and support packing and counting activities as business needs allow.
You will report to Ops First Line Manager and will be based out of Joliet, IL. This is a first shift position, working from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Process dealer claims and investigate each one to identify the root cause and support future training efforts.
  • Print and prepare dealer orders and returns for processing.
  • Distribute needed paperwork and documents in assigned work areas.
  • Communicate with the Service Center and our Central Distribution Center (CDC) regarding carrier changes and other questions related to forward and reverse material flows.
  • Monitor outbound Warehouse Management System (WMS) data to support work processing.
  • Maintain outbound WMS data to ensure all orders are processed on time and address any orders that are outside target.
  • Assist with coordinating deliveries and Bill of Lading (BOLs).
  • Report customer feedback to management, including any sign of customer dissatisfaction.
  • Maintain the quality database and collaborate with the supervisor for quality-related projects and improvements.
  • Maintain quality, inventory, and return WMS data
  • Support leadership with the development and implementation of audit strategies and assessment schedules.
  • Conduct material audits and report findings.
  • Support data entry of daily or weekly reports, including auditing the refill discrepancy log and making adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct bin checks, including cycle counts
  • Backfill for the Volvo Construction Equipment Clerical employee as needed.
  • Address phone calls, drivers, and visitors to the facility, or direct them to the proper party.
  • Provide information to leadership staff or display boards.
  • Participate in safety, quality and environmental programs.
  • Participate in Lean programs (VPS and 5S).
  • Comply with company rules and policies and follows instructions from management personnel.
  • In addition to the primary role, you may be asked to perform Warehouse Operator duties during periods of high absenteeism or critical customer need. These duties may include, but are not limited to inbound, pick, pack, and ship activities.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D is required.
  • 2+ years of secretarial or administrative office experience preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience with warehouse inbound and outbound procedures preferred.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures, inventory control concepts and transportation terminology
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Sense of urgency and problem-solving mindset

  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Customer-focused approach
  • Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime on an as needed basis.

For this position, the base pay is set at $26.38 - $32.59/hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
