Description

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Assistant General Counsel, Privacy with the implementation of the North America privacy program to support online, retail, and internal employee initiatives.
  • Become an integral part of the North America data privacy function, acting as privacy point of contact for business teams.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of Bally's group businesses to provide adequate and strategic recommendations and consultation on business privacy requests.
  • Provide day to day privacy guidance to the North America business teams, balancing the intersection of data privacy compliance and business operational needs.
  • Support the business's privacy compliance efforts across US state and Canadian data protection laws and regulations.
  • Perform operational activities to support the management of an effective privacy program (e.g., creating reports and documentation, using privacy software management tools, designing privacy compliance processes).
  • Review and revise data protection agreements to promote compliance with data protection laws and mitigate business risk.
  • Support and contribute to the completion of data protection impact assessments and data mapping initiatives.
  • Support and advise on the fulfilment of data subject rights in alignment with company policies.
  • Liaise with the Global Privacy Office to support alignment of North America data privacy program with Bally's global privacy initiatives.

Competencies:

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills and demonstrated executive presence.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and information seeking skills and detail oriented.
  • Excellent understanding of internal data protection laws including the CCPA and other US state privacy laws. Knowledge of Canada privacy regulatory framework including PIPEDA and PIPA desired.
  • Must be detailed oriented and passionate about privacy.
  • Good understanding of online technologies and their privacy implications
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English language.
  • Ability to act independently and exercise good judgment

Target Salary:

  • $90,000- $100,000 Annual Salary

Qualifications

Experience
Ability to obtain a RI Operations Lottery License (preferred)
Experience in similar previous privacy/data protection role is a must (preferred)
Experience in online gaming preferred (preferred)
Comprehensive knowledge of the US data protection framework, regulatory guidance; versed in marketing regulations (e.g., CANSPAM & TCPA). (preferred)
Proven ability to provide effective integration and cooperation across disciplines and work groups (preferred)
Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) preferred (preferred)
3-5 years of experience in data protection field required (preferred)

Licenses & Certifications
RI Lottery License Ops (required)
