Summary: TGI Office Automation is seeking a motivated Data Operations Specialist to combine technical data with business goals, in order to help identify and realize opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability across the organization. Primary responsibilities will include managing and analyzing data in order to drive operational efficiency and support overall organizational growth.

The ideal candidate will possess quantitative analytical thinking in combination with excellent communication skills and business savvy, including the ability to work with all types of employees from various backgrounds. Initiative and follow-through will be key.

The Data Operations Specialist will report to the CFO who will direct, develop, and prioritize workload.

Specific responsibilities to include:

  • Oversee data processes, infrastructure, and teams to ensure data is accurate and can be relied upon for decision making and process improvement
  • Develop SOPs, monitor KPIs, ensure compliance, and trouble shoot issues
  • Identify areas of inefficiency in the company, coordinate with stakeholders, and roll out new processes which will improve efficiency in key areas of the business
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly with key stakeholders to elicit feedback in order to understand data needs and deliver insights
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL Server queries, views, and stored procedures to extract and transform data from operational systems into reliable reporting datasets
  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, including the underlying data models, table relationships, RLS, and DAX measures
  • Provide high level support and technical guidance to the service organization and help teams perform more effectively in the field
  • Regularly develop, produce, and publish a variety of operational reports, including month-end performance reviews
  • Train and support managers in understanding and managing their performance metrics
  • Determine training needs based on data analysis of performance metrics
  • Support and propose various ad-hoc analytics projects including profitability, service metrics, parts usage, and other internal processes
  • Additional projects and support for company initiatives as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Quantitative thinking and experience with data analytics
  • Power BI
  • Strong, hands-on SQL Server experience required — must be able to independently write and troubleshoot complex T-SQL, including multi-table joins, subqueries/CTEs, aggregation, and window functions; experience with views and stored procedures required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data tools, SQL server experience required
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills required
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and experience working in an office setting are required
  • Ability to work with management and employees at every level

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000 - $125,000
