Job description

Position Title:  Application Operations & Systems Specialist                       Infovisa, Inc. Charlotte, NC
FLSA Status:  Exempt
Position Summary
Infovisa, an industry leader in trust and financial accounting software and services, is seeking an Application Operations & Systems Specialist to support the daily operation of our hosted environment and proprietary applications.
This position is responsible for monitoring production jobs and services, troubleshooting operational issues, supporting software deployments, performing quality assurance testing, and assisting with system maintenance and disaster recovery activities. The ideal candidate enjoys problem solving, system monitoring, and ensuring the stability and reliability of business-critical applications.
Essential Functions
  • Monitor daily production jobs and application services to ensure successful processing.
  • Troubleshoot failed jobs and service interruptions.
  • Monitor and support automated processes, including pricing updates, vendor data delivery, database uploads, and other scheduled services.
  • Detect, respond to, and assist in resolving production system outages.
  • Assist with software deployments, application upgrades, and database upgrades.
  • Perform quality assurance and regression testing for new software releases.
  • Participate in release validation activities before production deployment.
  • Respond to requests for database backups and database restorations for troubleshooting and research.
  • Assist with disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation.
  • Develop proficiency in Infovisa's hosted products and operational processes.
  • Prepare operational documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours support rotations as required.
  • Collaborate with Development, Product Support, and Information Technology to resolve operational issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three or more years of professional experience.
  • Experience with SQL Server and writing/interpreting SQL queries.
  • Experience supporting production applications or enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with application monitoring, job scheduling, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with software testing and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to remain calm and organized while responding to production incidents.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
