Advanced Management Strategies Group (AMSG) is seeking a Military Analyst to support the Operations & Plans Section of the Aviation Center of Excellence (AVCOE) G-5 Directorate. AMSG is a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), delivering exceptional program and performance management services across multiple federal agencies, including the Department of Defense (DoD), (including Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Washington Headquarters Service (WHS) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Location: Fort Rucker, Alabama
Education: Bachelors degree required

Experience: Must have at least 10 years of experience as a Planner/Military Analyst in Army Aviation. Expertise may come from rotary wing, fixed wing, or unmanned aerial systems (UAS) operations.

Certification Preferred: PMP certification

Clearance Requirement: Secret

Scope: The Military Analyst - Operations & Plans Section will provide expert operational planning, analytical support, and staff integration to ensure the organization can effectively plan, coordinate, and execute missions. This role supports senior leaders by developing plans, assessing operations, synchronizing activities across the enterprise, and producing high‐quality staff products that enable informed decision‐making.

Responsibilities include:

  • Must have experience planning and synchronizing operations, developing timelines, and facilitating teams.
  • Must be familiar with data literacy, knowledge management concepts and practice.
  • Experience stemming from service at the Aviation Center of Excellence (AVCOE), Combined Arms Center (CAC), Training & Doctrine Command (TRADOC), or Army Futures Command (AFC) is preferred.
  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification is preferred for this position.
