About the Role:

The Branch Operations Manager in the construction industry is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of a branch to ensure efficient, safe, and profitable business activities. This role involves managing resources, coordinating between departments, and implementing company policies to meet organizational goals. The manager will lead a team to optimize workflow, maintain compliance with industry regulations, and enhance customer satisfaction. They will also analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process enhancements. Ultimately, the Branch Operations Manager ensures that the branch operates smoothly while supporting the broader strategic objectives of the company.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction operations or branch management.
  • 10 years of program and project management or operations management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry standards, safety regulations, and operational best practices.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and coordinating cross-functional activities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PE in Alabama, Georgia, Florida require
  • RLS in Alabama, Georgia, Florida a plus
  • PLS in Alabama, Georgia, Florida a plus
  • ALDOT, GDOT, FDOT experience preferred
  • Infrastructure project experience required
  • Experience with construction project management software and ERP systems.
  • Certification in OSHA safety standards or equivalent safety training.
  • Demonstrated success in financial management and budgeting within a construction environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean construction principles or continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily branch operations including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet project and business demands.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies across all branch activities.
  • Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and clients to facilitate timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor financial performance of the branch, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting to senior management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop branch staff to foster a productive and motivated work environment.
  • Implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance customer service.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain quality standards and operational excellence.
  • Resolve operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions and maintain project timelines.
