This position serves Republic Business Credit which is a subsidiary of Renasant Bank. The IT & Data Operations Specialist provides essential technical support and operational assistance to Republic Business Credit while contributing to foundational data management and AI initiatives. This hybrid role serves as the first point of contact for IT-related issues, manages day-to-day support requests, and will participate in implementing Snowflake and evaluating AI technologies. Working under the direction of the SVP IT & Project Manager, this position ensures employees have the tools and technical support needed to remain productive while helping advance RBC's data analytics capabilities and AI adoption strategy.

Responsibilities
IT Support & Operations
  • Provide front-line technical support for hardware, software, and application issues independently diagnosing, prioritizing, and determining the appropriate resolution path for each issue.
  • Set up and maintain employee workstations and IT equipment
  • Manage password resets, access provisioning, and software installations
  • Monitor systems, and independently assess and triage security incidents and alerts, determining escalation path and remediation approach; maintain IT documentation including phishing emails and suspicious activities
  • Support employee security awareness by fielding questions and reinforcing best practices
  • Participate in security training programs and knowledge transfer sessions; evaluate content effectiveness and adapt approach based on risk profile.

Data Management & Analytics
  • Assist with implementation and configuration of Snowflake data platform
  • Extract, transform, and integrate data from financial platforms using SQL and APIs
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement and maintain API connections integrating data from various systems.
  • Manage data processes ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency, independently establishing and enforcing data governance standards across all systems.
  • Document data sources, transformations, SQL scripts, and API endpoints

AI Implementation & Strategic Projects
  • Evaluate and implement AI tools and applications to enhance business operations
  • Support major IT projects including system migrations and infrastructure upgrades
  • Gather user feedback, conduct testing, and document implementation processes

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree/certification is preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant IT experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of SQL - ability to write intermediate queries (SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, aggregations, subqueries)
  • Familiarity with APIs and demonstrated ability or strong aptitudes to learn API integration
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation
  • Genuine curiosity about data, analytics, and AI - eager to learn and grow
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and WiFi
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and common threats
  • Strong ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly
  • Ability to work early morning, evening, or weekend when required for system maintenance, data processing, or urgent support needs.
  • Strong attention to ergonomics and proper equipment handling techniques is important
  • Self-starter who can work independently in a small team environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving responsibilities
  • Able to manage competing priorities between daily support requests and project deliverables
  • Excellent customer service orientation with patience and professionalism when assisting users
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and logical troubleshooting approach
  • Detail-oriented with strong focus on data accuracy and quality

The base annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000-$80,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, education/training, and a candidate's work experience.
