Summary:

In this role, you will support data intake, validation, and quality operations supporting Vizient's Procedural Analytics product. You will analyze and validate hospital-based clinical, supply, and physician data from multiple Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Vizient standards. You will collaborate with clients and internal partners to resolve data issues, deliver high-quality analytic outputs, and support process improvements, implementations, and ongoing operational initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Support procedural data implementations, including file intake, data mapping, normalization, and processing across multiple EMR-sourced datasets.
  • Perform data validation activities to identify mapping discrepancies, missing elements, integrity issues, and compliance gaps.
  • Ensure hospital submissions meet Vizient data quality standards across intake requirements, processing systems, and analytic outputs.
  • Analyze business challenges and recommend data-driven solutions to improve operational outcomes.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings to gather business requirements and understand current workflows and processes.
  • Deliver customized analyses using structured and unstructured datasets to support benchmarking and insights.
  • Research best practices, validation techniques, and data sources to strengthen analytical methodologies and processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional partners to resolve data-related challenges and manage expectations.
  • Develop and maintain datasets while coordinating dependencies across teams and systems.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues with less experience.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets required.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience querying relational databases required.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, LOOKUP functions, charts, and graphs required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a high-volume operational environment required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Experience with EMR systems such as Epic OpTime or Cerner SurgiNet preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients.
  • Experience supporting healthcare analytics platforms, benchmarking tools, or procedural analytics preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $116,300.00.
