Job description

Eagle Health Analytics (EHA), LLC is working with CDC’s National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases to provide remote Data Manager services for the following:

TASKS: Data Management, Analysis, and Integrated Systems Support for Vaccine Safety Monitoring

1. Provide data management support by assisting with data processing, including downloading, processing, cleaning, documenting, consolidating, archiving, and transferring of data in various files formats.

2. Provide data management support to by posting of data in various file formats and locations. This includes daily retrieval of data, consolidation of internal data files, and preparation of data for public use dataset.

3. Document the development and implementation of data collection methods and protocols.

4. Maintain and support the virtual server.

5. Work with CDC IT to track the overall health of the virtual server system, including but not limited to: ensure the server is up-to-date and drive space is adequate, serve as an administrator of SAS Studio housed on the server, administering server access to approved users, work with CDC IT and data stewards for data security and storage related issues, and revise security documents, as needed.

6. Automate reoccurring reports, tables, and presentations of data for the team to access on a routine basis. This task includes producing regularly scheduled data reports and distributing these reports electronically through the use of Windows batch processing, Windows scheduler, and the SAS application. Document all scheduled tasks that are performed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure resource allocation and adequate system performance levels.

7. Create and manage quality assurance programs for daily downloads from website, develop and implement quality control scripts for internal consolidated datasets, and publicly available data.

8. Provide analytic support including regular and ad hoc epidemiologic and statistical analyses.

9. Produce reports, tables, and presentations of the data. This shall also include regularly scheduled data reports and distributing these reports through the use of Windows batch processing, Windows scheduler, and the SAS application as well as documenting all scheduled tasks that are performed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure resource allocation and adequate system performance levels.

10. Provide consultation on data to epidemiologists and analysts.

11. Conduct appropriate analyses, interpreting outputs and providing feedback to the team on related data needs for the project.

REQUIREMENTS:  Minimum education includes a Master’s in public health, biological sciences, computer sciences, epidemiology, or statistics. Experience requirements include 3+ years in advanced SAS programming. Positions require 3+ years’ experience in data management as well as analyzing/manipulating data from large relational databases of longitudinal data.
