Title: Production Farm Intern

Description: Holden Farms is seeking motivated and passionate students pursuing careers in agriculture to join us as a Production Farm Intern. This hands-on internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in swine production while working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and innovative environment.

Hours: Onsite, Monday through Friday 6am โ€“ 4:30 p.m.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage provided.

Essential Job Functions: As a Production Farm Intern, you will:

  • Participate in a variety of farm projects including:
    • Daily animal care and welfare
    • Data collection and record keeping
    • Assisting with farrowing and piglet care
    • General barn maintenance and biosecurity practices
  • Learn about sow farm operations, production flow, and team collaboration.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and farm goals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Previous livestock or swine experience.

Education/Experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
