Job description

Join our team as a Data Solutions Engineer, where you will play a key role in designing and developing enterprise data solutions. This role works across the data lifecycle, including data analysis, data modeling, data architecture, data engineering, and data integration.


You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop practical, scalable data solutions. Your work will support and enhance our enterprise data strategy, including master data management, by centralizing transformations and creating consistent, trusted data across the organization.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement data processing workflows and pipelines to support solutions development and business intelligence needs.
• Design and develop scalable and effective data solutions to support the flow and integration of data across systems.
• Use big data technologies like Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, and Data Factory to handle and analyze large volumes of data.
• Develop and maintain data storage solutions, including Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage.
• Support the Enterprise Data Model by managing the medallion architecture layers in the data lake.
• Support master data management, data modeling, and architecture by centralizing transformations and business rules to create consistent, trusted enterprise data.
• Implement data validation and cleansing procedures to ensure the highest level of data quality and integrity.
• Use Microsoft Fabric to support data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence solutions.
• Use Microsoft Power Platform and Logic Apps to support data integration, automation, and application development needs.


REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Proficiency in the following tools, technologies, and data concepts:
• Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage
• Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow
• Azure Logic Apps, Azure DevOps, Power Automate, REST API
• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI and Document Intelligence for turning unstructured content into usable data.
• Data analysis, data modeling, data architecture, and master data management
• Medallion architecture design patterns using Delta Lake (bronze, silver, gold layers)
• Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Engineering, and Real-Time Analytics
• Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) for low-code data integration and automation
• Version control and CI/CD practices for data workflows using Azure DevOps and Git

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 5 years of hands-on experience developing data and software solutions.


REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
1. Maintain effective relationships with clients and internal customers (Attorneys, Litigation Support, IP Services, and other support staff).
2. Ability to lead and build consensus among peers and staff.
3. Understanding and ability to follow project management methodologies.
4. Accurately manage and report time worked on projects.
5. Ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
7. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts with an audience.
8. Must be able to perform essential duties of the position with time constraints, interruptions, and under stress.
