Sonepar Management Group (SMG) supports our Sonepar brands (i.e. operating companies) in the US through a shared services model. These services include, but are not limited to: human resources, finance, digital enterprise, supply chain, vendor relations, marketing, legal, and communications. The SMG teams enable our brands to do business in their local regions while taking advantage of the scale and collective resources of a global enterprise.
SMG fosters an inclusive and supportive culture. We offer leadership and development programs to help you reach your career goals. Our associates share in our collective achievements, and we firmly believe that Sonepar is "Powered by Difference." By driving technology and innovation, enabling paths to success, and caring about our people and their families, we have built a workplace where you can build a fulfilling career.
As a Data Integration Specialist II, you'll play a key role in supporting Sonepar's digital growth by helping our operating companies streamline system-to-system processes.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, customer service, and process improvement. You'll help customers, vendors, and internal teams move information efficiently between systems - supporting critical document flows such as ordering, invoicing, order acknowledgements, shipment notifications, and rebate-related documents.
What You'll Do
  • Facilitate EDI and third-party integrations for Sonepar operating company customers.
  • Support system-to-system tools, including EDI, order entry automation, and broader system integrations.
  • Partner with customers, vendors, OpCos, and internal stakeholders to understand integration requirements and support successful onboarding.
  • Help map internal data to customer or vendor system requirements, ensuring information flows accurately and efficiently between platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve existing integration issues while identifying opportunities to improve stability, usability, and adoption.
  • Ensure integrations are being used to their fullest potential and help business partners understand the value of system-to-system tools.
  • Document current and new system integrations, customer status, and related processes.
  • Support vendor integrations as needed.

What You'll Bring
  • 2+ years of experience in eCommerce, eProcurement, EDI, punchout, or related system integration work.
  • Experience with EDI integrations, EDI mapping, data mapping, or customer/vendor onboarding strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of project management or implementation experience.
  • 1+ year of customer relationship management or customer-facing support experience.
  • 1+ year of process improvement experience.
  • Ability to understand requirements, ask thoughtful questions, and determine how data should move between systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach for customers, vendors, technical teams, and internal business partners.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity, learning new systems, and raising your hand when something needs clarification.
  • A curiosity-driven mindset and willingness to challenge existing processes in a thoughtful, solutions-oriented way.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Eclipse or similar ERP/business systems is helpful, but not required. Britt noted in the intake that Eclipse can be taught, while EDI and data understanding are more important starting points.
  • Experience in supply chain, distribution, manufacturing, eProcurement, or a third-party EDI provider environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
