Job description

Infrastructure Manager
The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, and oversight of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability. This role includes managing data center operations, servers, storage, networks, telecommunications, firewalls, endpoint security, and cloud services. The Infrastructure Manager will lead a team of IT professionals and collaborate with key business stakeholders to align IT infrastructure with organizational goals.
As an Infrastructure Manager you will:
  • Develop and execute short-term and long-term IT infrastructure strategies to support business objectives.
  • Align infrastructure initiatives with IT and business strategies, collaborating with application, cybersecurity, and business leaders.
  • Research and recommend new technologies, tools, and approaches to enhance system reliability, security, and efficiency.
  • Oversee and manage enterprise-wide IT infrastructure, including data centers, servers, storage, networking, cloud, and endpoint security.
  • Ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability of IT systems and services.
  • Manage firewall and network security solutions, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats.
  • Monitor and maintain endpoint security solutions, including antivirus, patch management, and compliance enforcement.
  • Oversee telecom and unified communications platforms to ensure seamless business operations.
  • Implement best practices for IT asset management, including hardware/software lifecycle management.
  • Lead IT infrastructure procurement processes, including vendor selection, contract negotiations, and cost management.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and consultants.
  • Drive the implementation of cloud, hybrid, and on-premise solutions to optimize IT infrastructure.
  • Manage and mentor a team of IT infrastructure professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and security specialists.
  • Implement and enforce data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.

Leadership:
Responsible for hire/fire decisions; performance appraisals; employee training and development; handles disciplinary problems. This job will be evaluated on these decisions.
We are looking for someone with:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including leadership of data center operations, enterprise networking, servers, storage, cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS), and security initiatives.
  • 3+ years of experience leading IT infrastructure teams, with a focus on operational excellence and service delivery.
  • Deep technical expertise in Microsoft technologies, virtualization platforms (Nutanix, VMware, Hyper-V), enterprise networking (Cisco, Aruba), and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
  • Experience overseeing firewall management, endpoint security solutions, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with the ITIL framework and best practices for IT service management (ITSM).
    Proven track record in vendor management, including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
  • Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE) or similar ERP platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with modern data protection and backup platforms (e.g., Cohesity) to support business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Relevant certifications include ITIL 4, PMP, Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, and Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA)
  • Additional certifications in Linux and CompTIA Security+ are a plus.

Typical pay is $111,828 -148,113 annually.
