Description
Tillman FiberCo is building a 100% fiber network to support the next generation of broadband services. Tillman FiberCo is a portfolio company of Tillman Global Holdings, a holding company focused on building premier digital infrastructure businesses globally. We have an incredible opportunity for an OSP Construction Supervisor in the Hillsborough County and Manatee/Sarasota County areas.
Requirements and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for administration and overall supervision of all field personnel.
  • Clear understanding of fiber design, splicing matrix sheets and documentation requirements with the ability to communicate that understanding.
  • Manage contract resources as necessary to supplement project needs.
  • Manage and coordinate outside plant construction using contract resources to accomplish assigned projects.
  • Coordinate field survey of existing or proposed outside plant installations including aerial and underground network facilities and associated infrastructure.
  • Lead and model effective troubleshooting systems as necessary in the restoration of plant issues.
  • Responsible for meeting QA/Compliance standards as well as budgetary requirements.
  • Ensure system compliance to NCTA, FCC regulations and Tillman FiberCo minimum operating specifications.
  • Liaise with other departments as necessary to maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of new technology being deployed.
  • Ensure constant compliance with OSHA safety standards.
  • Respond to the needs of a 24/7/365 operation, when necessary.
  • Serve as on-call management and respond to end-to-end OSP needs in the event of a service impairment or outage.
  • Troubleshoot systems as necessary to define root cause and break-fix alternatives.

Requirements
What we are looking for
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a fiber construction environment.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in underground and aerial construction techniques.
  • Proficient knowledge of optical networks.
  • Must be able to work after hours and weekends. Remain in service during outages until resolved.
  • Remain in a state of readiness to handle call issues when on call.
  • Must be able to work emergency schedules during natural disasters and network outages.
  • Must be able to pass standard background check.
  • Must have valid driver's license with a clean driver's license.
  • Must pass pre-employment and compulsory drug screening.
  • You must have close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust your focus with good hand-eye coordination.
  • Computer skills.
  • Knowledge of Email, Excel, and Word.
