The Role at a Glance
We are excited to bring on a Sr. Data Steward to support the Annuity business and help shape how data drives decision-making across the organization. This role will have a hybrid work schedule with preferred key city location in Fort Wayne, IN.

In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted partner to business and technology teams, helping ensure critical business data is accurate, reliable, and aligned with enterprise governance standards. You'll play a key role in advancing data governance initiatives, supporting data-driven solutions across multiple agile teams, and enhancing the processes, controls, and reporting capabilities that enable informed business decisions. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives, influence key business outcomes, and partner across the organization to strengthen data quality, governance, and operational excellence within the Annuity business. What you'll be doing
  • You will lead business analysis efforts supporting the Annuity production environment, serving as a data subject matter expert and partnering with business and IT teams to resolve production issues, data discrepancies, and other business impacts.
  • You will lead analysis and research for strategic initiatives, helping define requirements, use cases, and expected outcomes while ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy and governance standards.
  • You will drive the data delivery strategy across multiple agile teams, contributing to target-state design, data roadmaps, and solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.
  • You will partner with business stakeholders, data governance, and IT leaders to ensure data solutions align with business needs, governance standards, and long-term strategic objectives.
  • You will lead data stewardship efforts focused on data architecture, lineage, traceability, quality frameworks, and overall data integrity across the Annuity organization.
  • You will support the development of AI-ready data capabilities by identifying data gaps, improving data readiness, and aligning priorities with future enterprise initiatives.
  • You will champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, strengthen data quality, improve reporting capabilities, and optimize operational efficiency.
  • You will serve as a trusted resource and advisor to business partners, analysts, and project teams, leading collaboration, facilitating issue resolution, and supporting the successful delivery of data-focused initiatives.

What we're looking for
Must-have experience (Required):
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
  • 5 - 7+ Years of experience in business analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Strong SQL skills with applied usage across various platforms
  • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations.
  • Strong project management skills including critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines
  • Strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers, and colleagues) with the proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
  • Demonstrates understanding of cloud services and concepts and supporting business applications in a cloud environment

Nice-to have Experience (Preferred):
  • Experience supporting Annuity product build and administrative systems a plus
  • Applied use of AI tools to contribute/support to personal tasks and team activities
  • Experienced business analysis experience with ETL and data driven applications

The pay range for this position is $96,900 - $176,200 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
