Job Description

Pharmaceutical Sales -Data Steward

The Data Steward will perform as primary role for the operations team and is responsible for the population, maintenance, integrity, and adoption of the system of record. The Data Steward focuses on improving data integrity of experience and relationship data through efficient mining, researching, validating and leveraging of internal and external data sources. This role is responsible for establishing consistent data definitions, maintaining business and technical rules, and monitoring and auditing data quality. The Data Steward emphasizes the business value of data, fosters the goal of data re-use and articulates the significance of information to the organization. 


Technical Responsibilities:

  • Create data standards and business rules on the acquisition, persistence, and distribution of data 
  • Be responsible for establishing data quality requirements and assessing the quality of the data 
  • Establish data access security requirements
  • Establish Data Governance principles and ensure effective execution of the same
  • Work with the organization's regulatory and compliance group to understand regulatory requirements and the implication of the same on the organization's data requirements
  • Translate business requirements into data requirements and provide the same to the IT teams implementing the technology solution
  • Perform acceptance tests on the changes made to IT systems


Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000

Qualifications

Technical Qualifications:

  • Oracle and SQL Knowledge
  • Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Sales Process
  • Knowledge of regulations related to Pharmaceutical sales e.g, Sunshine Act in USA, and corresponding regulations in Europe and other geographies
  • Experience in performing the responsibilities defined above, preferably in a Pharmaceutical organization
  • Expertise and experience in defining data governance, data security, data storage and distribution rules 


Business Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • The candidate should possess good team skills
