Job description

We are seeking a versatile, proactive, and detail-oriented professional to serve as a system administrator of Cascade, our Enterprise Asset Management system for substation equipment. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical operations and data strategy by managing asset management tools, designing configuration control processes, and driving continuous process improvements through collaboration across engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Process & Configuration Management: Develop, implement, and maintain robust configuration control processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of substation asset data within Cascade.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, maintenance, operations, and project stakeholders to align business processes and maximize the utility of asset management tools.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality control reviews for allsubstation asset data submittals to ensure a single source of truth.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Design, build, and manage critical reports and queries to provide actionable data insights for asset management and maintenance decision-making.
  • Cascade System Administration & Support: Serve as the primary system administrator for Cascade; including granting user access, managing permissions, and troubleshooting technical system issues for users.
  • Asset Inventory & Data Entry: Maintain substation equipment inventory within Cascade, ensuring high-quality, meticulous data entry and configuration control processes.
  • Maintenance Trigger Configuration: Interpret the company's maintenance plans alongside regulatory and compliance requirements - Turning maintenance/inspection rules into automated, reliable software triggers.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong background in utility infrastructure (transmission and substation assets preferred), applicable governmental and regulatory laws, rules and regulations.
  • Experience with Cascade or similar enterprise asset management (EAM) systems.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering and operational teams.
  • Analytical mindset with experience building technical reports and database queries.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, Business or Engineering. MBA or Master's degree in Engineering preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of eight years of directly related experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
