Job Description

Position Title: Data Security Architect

Location: Washington, DC (LOCALS Only)

Duration: 18 Months

Candidates should have strong "data encryption solutions exp" along with majority of skills/tools in #12 and # i,ii and vii in 13. Positions will be in DC

Background: Seeking a Security Systems Architect to provide subject matter expert (SME) guidance in the architecting and implementation of data encryption technologies at the client. This architect must be an expert in both data at rest and data in transit data encryption technologies and have proven experience in architecting and implementing these technologies.

The candidate should be a Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in data at rest encryption technologies particularly as they pertain to IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL and big data storage technologies. Candidate should also be an SME in designing and engineering solutions for data in transit particularly in an environment composed of Cisco, F5, Microsoft, AIX and VMWARE components. Candidate should be able to, working with FEPOC security architects, security system engineers, and enterprise architects, assess the proposed data encryption technologies against the existing environment including processes, system configurations, toolsets, infrastructure, performance metrics, application security issues & approaches, and provide recommendations in context of these inputs. Candidate should be able to review existing application code and determine, working with application architects, how best to enable data encryption solutions.

Tasks:

Review existing data encryption analysis and provide input on requirements for request for proposal on data encryption technologies.

Participate in overall architecture discussions with architects on data encryption solution architectures;

Review and provide guidance on how to migrate systems and processes to use data encryption solutions from a schedule, performance and security perspective.

Review infrastructure configurations;

Participate and guide installation of data encryption solutions into the different SBPASC environments;

Qualifications

10. Established credential(s) in industry recognized methodologies and standard bodies of knowledge in data encryption with demonstrated experience having implemented those in a live environment

11. Health Care Industry experience will be a plus.

12. Demonstrated extensive data encryption technology implementation experience including but not limited to implementation of encryption on IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Sharepoint, Cisco, F5, AIX and VMWARE technologies.
