Job Summary
Athena Technology Group (ATG) is seeking a Data Security Analyst to join our Army team at Ft. Huachuca, AZ.The Data Security Analyst's primary function is to support the Army's Global Cyber Center.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plans and executes the protection of information found on company computers and data networks, utilizing understanding of computer and network security, including firewall administration, encryption technologies, and network protocols.
  • Designs, develops and implements security plans depending on the company's needs and current threats. Installs, uninstalls, updates, and maintains various security programs that protect sensitive data using firewalls and data-encryption technology.
  • Audits and tests the security system to expose its shortcomings and flaws, reports breaches, repairs the damage, takes measures to seal any security hole that enabled the data compromise, and uses all test results to rectify weaknesses, improve security, and prepare for possible future outside attacks.
  • Ensures the information stored on computers or networks is free of breaches and safe from hackers, not disclosed to unwanted parties, or modified inadvertently.
  • Keeps abreast of industry security trends and developments.
