Position Title
Biomedical Technology Integration Specialist
Job Description
Purpose & Scope:
This role ensures that medical devices, clinical systems, and supporting technologies are securely integrated, implemented, and maintained in alignment with clinical workflows, patient safety requirements, and VHC Health IT and cybersecurity standards.
This position focuses on integration, risk management, vendor coordination, and lifecycle oversight for connected medical devices and clinical systems. The role partners closely with Cybersecurity, IT Infrastructure, Clinical Informatics, and vendors to ensure that controls are appropriate, validated, and operationally sustainable in clinical environments.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Three years experience in Healthcare IT is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Must be able to learn security standards and frameworks which may include: NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, NIST 800-171, HIPAA, IEC 62443, IEC 80001, and/or ISO 27001
  • Must be able to obtain knowledge of Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), and Computer Security Incident Response Center (CSIRC) project, Infragard.

Certification/Licensure:
Relevant information technology certifications preferred (e.g. HCISPP Security+, Network+, CYSA+, CompTIA A+)
