Job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
ABOUT THE JOB
Anduril is building the future of defense technology, and a critical component of this mission is a trusted, unified, and intelligently structured data foundation that fuels aggressive AI-driven innovation. We are seeking an accomplished and passionate Data Product Manager to own the adoption strategy and user experience of our enterprise semantic layer. Reporting to the Master Data Management (MDM) team, this role is equally product manager and enablement lead. You will define what the semantic layer should deliver for users, prioritize its evolution based on business impact, and drive its adoption across the organization, while partnering with Data Architecture and Data Platform engineers who handle the technical build.
You will be a key contributor to the MDM Center of Excellence (CoE), working closely with business stakeholders to understand what questions they need answered, and with technical teams to ensure the semantic layer delivers those answers intuitively. You will translate complex data structures (PLM, MES, ERP, Foundry, Databricks) into clear product requirements for ontology objects and semantic models, then champion their adoption through hands-on workshops, hackathons, office hours, and comprehensive training programs. Your work will directly accelerate AI-driven application development, foster a vibrant culture of data self-service, and ensure that Anduril's data foundation scales to meet our aggressive growth and IPO readiness targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Champion Semantic Layer Adoption & Operational Enablement: Lead the charge for semantic layer adoption, acting as the primary advocate and subject matter expert for all user personas. This includes designing and delivering comprehensive enablement programs (workshops, bootcamps, office hours, hackathons, documentation, and learning resources) and managing day-to-day operational workflows like routing complex issues, triaging support questions, and overseeing user access provisioning and security group management in close collaboration with InfoSec and Compliance.
  • Create Intuitive Learning Resources & Decentralize Support: Develop and maintain high-quality training materials, documentation, best practices guides, and reusable usage patterns to empower users for self-service data consumption. Identify, cultivate, and equip power users across business domains to serve as local semantic layer champions, accelerating peer-to-peer learning and reducing reliance on centralized support. Build a scalable enablement ecosystem where knowledge compounds organically across teams.
  • Contribute to Semantic Layer Design, Data Definition & Governance: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand what questions they need answered and translate those needs into clear product requirements for semantic model structures, critical attributes, data relationships, and business logic within Anduril's Ontology. Provide prioritization guidance on golden record development based on business impact. Partner with Data Architecture, Data Platform, and MDM teams to ensure requirements are implemented effectively. Collaborate with SMEs to build comprehensive data dictionaries and inventories. As a key member of the MDM CoE, contribute to data governance policies and data quality standards while collaborating with platform product teams (e.g., Palantir Foundry) to prioritize enhancements.
  • Translate & Evangelize Strategic Value: Communicate the strategic value and practical benefits of the MDM-fueled semantic layer to diverse audiences, from engineers to executive stakeholders, clearly articulating how it accelerates innovation and ensures data trust, aligning with business objectives and IPO readiness.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in Data Product Management, Data Enablement, or Technical Program Management roles, with demonstrated experience treating data or internal tools as a product (defining roadmaps, prioritizing backlogs, gathering requirements, measuring adoption, and iterating based on feedback).
  • Exceptional ability to operate as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating complex business problems into clear product requirements, semantic model specifications, and data dictionary definitions that directly shape the enterprise golden record and ontology.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and delivering engaging enablement programs, workshops, and hackathons, with a track record of driving adoption and building communities of practice.
  • Proven experience working with data platforms for data modeling, governance, and consumption patterns, either hands-on or through directing technical teams toward desired outcomes. Familiarity with modern tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau) and their integration points with semantic layers. Ability to read and interpret technical outputs without necessarily writing production code.
  • Familiarity with Master Data Management principles or equivalent experience managing data standardization, taxonomy, or product information across multiple systems, including data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and user access management as they pertain to data trust, security, and compliance (e.g., ITAR, CUI).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, capable of articulating complex data concepts as clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Background in Technical Product Management, Solutions Consulting, or Customer Success Engineering with a data focus.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., defense, aerospace).
  • Direct experience integrating semantic layers with LLM agents or Digital Twin platforms.
  • Experience with ontology platforms or semantic layer technologies (e.g., Palantir Foundry Ontology, dbt, Databricks Unity Catalog).
