Responsibilities

As a Data Center QA/QC Technician, you are responsible for inspecting, testing, and validating structured cabling and fiber optic installations to ensure compliance with customer specifications, BICSI standards, and industry best practices. This role supports successful project turnover by identifying deficiencies and verifying the quality of completed work.

In addition, you will:

  • Inspect completed copper and fiber installations
  • Review labeling, cable routing, and installation workmanship
  • Verify OTDR, insertion loss, and Fluke certification test results
  • Perform quality audits and site inspections
  • Generate punch lists and track corrective actions
  • Review redline drawings and turnover documentation
  • Ensure compliance with ANSI/TIA, NEC, and BICSI standards
  • Coordinate with installation teams to resolve deficiencies
  • Participate in customer acceptance walks
  • Maintain QA/QC reports and project records

Qualifications

About You:

  • You have 3-5 years of structured cabling or fiber optic experience
  • Experience reviewing OTDR and Fluke test results
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction documentation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • BICSI Technician Certification
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Experience performing quality inspections in hyperscale data centers
