Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Configuration Manager to support a company focused on national security space systems engineering and defense modernization efforts. This position is on-site in El Segundo, CA. The Configuration Manager will oversee technical baseline management, configuration control, and systems engineering processes supporting mission-critical space capabilities. Join a team helping protect and defend the nation's most valuable space assets through advanced engineering and enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities for the Configuration Manager include:
  • Conduct and maintain Configuration Management (CM) of program technical baselines.
  • Manage and track changes to technical data using enterprise configuration management tools.
  • Provide systems engineering expertise throughout the system lifecycle, from concept development through operations and sustainment.
  • Support technical oversight of design, development, integration, testing, production, and sustainment activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams utilizing MBSE methodologies to manage technical data and program documentation.
Required Qualifications for the Configuration Manager include:
  • 7+ years of experience in Configuration Management, Systems Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
  • Experience managing technical baselines and utilizing configuration management tools.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with software verification and validation (V&V), software licensing management, and technical data control.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field (additional experience may be substituted for degree requirements).
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain SAP access.
Compensation for the Configuration Manager include:

Salary Range: $160,000-190,000 annually depending on experience and level
