SUMMARY

Traffic Data Technicians will oversees the setup of video and data collection equipment at traffic study locations and the removal of the equipment. As well as assists with the processing and backup of data collected.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Loading video and data collection equipment
  • Transporting equipment to traffic study locations
  • Setting up equipment at traffic study locations, using judgment to decide optimal equipment positioning for data collection purposes
  • Retrieving equipment from traffic study locations and transporting back to office locations
  • Backing up video data
  • Downloading data from traffic counters
  • Inspecting and cleaning assigned vehicle
  • Repairing data collection equipment
  • Participating in daily meetings to discuss work status
  • Traveling to out of town and/or out of State to perform traffic data collection
  • Performing other tasks as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting of 30-50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, standing and walking.
  • Periodic running
  • Frequent hammering of nails into the ground
  • Sitting and driving for long periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions
