Job description

MTSI is in search of a Data Automation Project Manager at AFWERX, the Air Force Center of Innovation. You will support research and development programs to develop innovative technologies and products.
Data and Automation
  • Manage, organize, store, and retrieve thousands of documents and gigabytes of data generated from contracts and internal team members, including contract deliverables and technical data.
  • Standardize the configuration of data and documents.
  • Apply appropriate security controls to documents and data, including Controlled Unclassified Information, Proprietary Information, and Classified Information.
  • Automate data and office processes to streamline them and minimize workload.
  • Apply machine learning/artificial intelligence to enhance data processes where appropriate.
  • Lead project teams for automating data handling and office processes.
  • Coordinate stakeholders, integrated product teams, and interested parties in automation projects.
  • Teach team members how to effectively use the automated processes and machine learning/artificial intelligence capabilities.

Project Management
  • Manage acquisition projects as assigned.
  • Coordinate contracting officers, technical experts, users, integrated product teams, stakeholders, and headquarters staff to run these projects effectively.
  • Track and assign actions for these projects.
  • Brief leadership and report on the cost, schedule, technical performance, issues, risks, and opportunities of these programs.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, information systems, or business.
  • 3 years of data management or project management experience.
  • Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in automating processes.
  • 2+ years of experience in Power BI/Power Automate projects.
  • Completion of courses on Power BI, Power Automate, machine learning/artificial intelligence, statistics, and business management.
  • 3+ years of DoD acquisition experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working with the Department of the Air Force Microsoft 365 products.
  • Completion of project management courses.
  • Completion of DoD acquisition management courses such as the Defense Acquisition University ACQ-101.
  • Top Secret Clearance/SCI Eligible

U.S. Citizenship is required
Clearance Requirements: A SECRET Clearance is required.
