Overview:

Opportunity often accompanies growth. Pembina Pipeline Corporation's office in Calgary is actively hiring a System Analyst Scheduling for a 12 month term to join the Marketing Business Unit (MBU) Logistics team. The role reports to the Manager of Scheduling & Logistics and supports the daily management of marketing positions across SAIBR and RightAngle (ETRM).

MBU is currently transforming its business through the implementation of SAIBR as the operational scheduling system, integrated with RightAngle as the system of record. This role has been established to support accurate scheduling, forecasting, and tracking of inventory positions across both systems.

As the Intern Scheduling System Analyst you will play an important supporting role within the Marketing team, helping maintain accurate and timely position data across SAIBR and RightAngle. You will work closely with schedulers, asset logistics, and marketers to ensure system data reflects commercial activity and operational movements. This role offers exposure to scheduling, position management, and commercial operations, with mentorship and development opportunities provided within the team.

The Marketing Business Unit undertakes value-added commodity marketing activities, including buying and selling products (natural gas, ethane, propane, butane, condensate, and crude oil), capitalizing on storage opportunities, and contracting capacity on pipelines and rail.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
  • Support Pembina's safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the "Life Saving Rules". To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com/safety;
  • Support daily scheduling and inventory activities within SAIBR and RightAngle, ensuring positions, movements, and system data are accurate and up to date;
  • Maintain and validate system data integrity between SAIBR and RightAngle, assisting in daily volumetric reconciliations to ensure both systems are aligned across assets, including NGL mix and spec;
  • Assist with daily position management activities, including supporting the preparation of end-of-day (EOD) position reports used by Front Office (FO) to manage their exposures;
  • Perform reconciliation checks and investigate discrepancies, escalating issues as needed to ensure timely resolution and accurate reporting;
  • Work closely with Scheduling, Asset Logistics, and Front Office teams to understand commercial activity and reflect it accurately within SAIBR and RightAngle;
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment, learning from senior team members and supporting shared team deliverables;
  • Act as a System Subject Matter Expert and support ongoing system improvements; and
  • Support and participate in an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years relevant industry experience;
  • Experience working with RightAngle or other ETRM systems;
  • Able to work the entire term; 
  • Experience with IT implementations is considered an asset; and
  • Experience with Excel and PowerBI is considered an asset.

This term position will end September of 2027. 


Pembina's Flexible Work Standard provides the option for eligible employees to work remotely on Fridays.
