Job description

About the position:

We are looking for a Data & Analytics Summer Intern to help mature our analytics infrastructure and accelerate our transition into a highly data-driven organization. This role requires an analytical thinker who wants to move beyond static reporting and dive deep into complex, multifaceted data streams. You will focus on advanced data analysis, root-cause diagnostics of operational variances, and correlation modeling. Leveraging cutting-edge tools like Databricks Genie, you will help democratize data access and institutionalize self-service insights across our Global Operations teams.

What you can expect to do:

  • Root-Cause & Causation Analysis: Audit core operational metrics, conducting deep-dive statistical and diagnostic analyses to isolate true causal drivers of operational variance and inefficiencies.
  • Databricks Optimization: Translate analytical insights into structured, custom data tables and configure/optimize Databricks Genie spaces so business partners can effortlessly self-serve insights using natural language.
  • Agile Integration: Operate as a core member of the team, fully embedded in standard team rhythms including daily connects, sprint planning, and team retrospectives.
  • Ad-Hoc Diagnostics: Execute rapid-response diagnostic investigations into sudden operational shifts, presenting data-driven findings directly to operational leadership.
  • Collaborative Pairing & Demos: Participate in collaborative sessions and actively present analytical insights at regular team demos

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Technical Analytics Foundations: Strong SQL foundations, experience with data modeling, and proficiency with BI visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker Studio)
  • Strategic Analytical Thinking: A natural curiosity for digging beneath the surface of data to understand the why behind operational metrics and separate correlation from causation
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data discoveries and statistical findings into clear, actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Academic Background: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a highly quantitative field.

The annual gross base salary range for this position is $60,000 (prorated over 12 weeks)
