Role Description

TurnCare is seeking aย GRCย Analyst to support security operations, audit readiness, andย process maturity. This role is designed toย streamline,ย drive,ย andย maintainย complianceย and risk managementย workflows, includingย regular control activities,ย evidence collection,ย policy/procedure maintenance, and execution of gap closure projects.ย 

The ideal candidate is processdriven,ย learns by doing,ย isย able toย take a risk-based approach, familiar with the data privacy and security landscape, and eager toย help strengthenย TurnCare's risk governance approach.ย 


Duties & Responsibilities:Risk, Audit & Compliance (GRC)ย 
  • Conduct risk and impact analyses; gather evidence and inform recommendations to the business.ย 
  • Collect, organize, andย validateย audit evidence for SOC2ย Type II and other frameworks; helpย identifyย and remediate gaps.ย 
  • Support compliance with HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST, and other applicable frameworks; document safeguards and impact assessments.ย 
  • Vendor Due Diligence: assess new and renewing vendors (software, apps, contractors) handling production and non-production data.ย 
  • Policies & Documentation:ย Develop,ย maintain, and review security policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with operations, audits, and regulations.ย 
  • Maintain strong documentation and drive process improvement.ย 
Security Operations & Monitoringย 
  • Support security operations: review employee access, triage alerts/escalations,ย monitorย and validate control effectiveness (access controls, logging, endpoint protection).ย 
  • Support IAM tasks, including access reviews and least-privilege validation.ย 
Workflow & Project Managementย 
  • Execute long-term projects against milestones; mature workflows to support TurnCare's growth.ย 
  • Maintainย accurateย tickets, statuses, and supporting artifacts; improve consistency across security and compliance work.ย 

Qualifications & Skillsย Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degreeย andย demonstratedย role alignmentย suchย asย inย coursework,ย research,ย labs,ย internships,ย work experience,ย certifications, or special interest.ย 
    • Bonus if degreeย in cybersecurity, IT/Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study.ย 
  • Relevant experience may include: security operations, IT support and system admin, audit/risk/compliance/GRC roles, and project management & operations.
  • Experienceย or familiarity withย healthcare or other regulated environments (data processors, tech law, government contracts)ย 
  • Projects involving security monitoring, access control, policy development, risk assessments, or regulatory research.ย 
Preferred Requirements
  • HIPAA Security/Privacy rule familiarity.
  • OneTrust Tech Risk and Compliance GRC experience.
  • Progress toward CompTIA Security+, healthcare security/privacy certifications, or IAPP certifications.ย 
  • Exposure to audit processes, control frameworks, cloud security fundamentals, Microsoft 365/Sharepoint.ย 
Preferred & Important Skills
  • Very strong verbal and written skills: You think critically and are able to communicate effectively and authoritatively about GRC risk.ย 
  • Business Acumen: You understand andย respond toย the needs of the businessย with a risk-based approach.ย ย 
  • Strong grasp of security fundamentals: least privilege, separation of duties, identification and assessment, vulnerabilities, response, monitoring.ย 
  • Systems: Windowsย andย macOS basics; Microsoft 365 familiarity, system administration experience is a plus.ย 
  • Compliance/audit:ย Understanding ofย control-based frameworks; SOC2 Type II evidence lifecycle, HITRUST is a plus.ย 
  • Tools: JIRA or similar project management / ticketing platforms.ย 

Salary Range:ย 
  • $60,000 - $70,000 annuallyย
