NC Programmer
CMM, CATIA V5, & 3D Metrology

We are seeking an NC Programmer - CMM, CATIA V5 & 3D Metrology to support aerospace manufacturing by developing and maintaining Machine Control Data (MCD), inspection programs, and precision measurement solutions for complex components, tooling, and assemblies. This role requires expertise in CATIA V5, CMM programming, GD&T, laser tracking, 3D metrology, and manufacturing engineering to support production, quality assurance, non-conformance investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, verify, revise, and maintain Machine Control Data (MCD), inspection programs, and supporting documentation for numerically controlled manufacturing and inspection equipment.
  • Respond to NCQA programming work authorization requests.
  • Analyze part and assembly dimensional tolerances and GD&T requirements to support manufacturing and inspection planning.
  • Create inspection programs, scripts, and plans for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), Laser Trackers, and Portable Arm measurement systems.
  • Develop 2D Mylar and 3D CATIA V5 nominal models using released engineering data, loft data, and physical master tool measurements.
  • Create machining and inspection indexing plans for detail parts and assemblies.
  • Generate and update Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) within CMES.
  • Analyze nominal versus measured data and prepare technical reports supporting engineering studies, inspection results, machine capability assessments, reverse engineering, Statistical Process Control (SPC), lean manufacturing initiatives, and product conformance.
  • Support the development and integration of new machining technologies, manufacturing processes, inspection methods, software, and equipment.
  • Establish technical manufacturing and producibility requirements for precision aerospace components.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance while working under general direction.

Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Associate degree and 3+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Bachelor's degree with 1+ year of related experience, or 5+ years of applicable experience).
  • Experience programming one or more of the following metrology applications:
    • Modus
    • Camio
    • Calypso
    • Spatial Analyzer
    • Klingelnberg
    • MarShaft
  • Experience programming and analyzing 3D measurement data for production assemblies, tooling, and detail parts using CMMs, Laser Trackers, and other precision metrology equipment.
  • Proficiency using CATIA V5 to create and modify nominal engineering models.
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, and dimensional inspection requirements.
  • Knowledge of numerical control (NC) machining, manufacturing processes, and inspection methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with reverse engineering, machine capability analysis, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Familiarity with CMES and non-conformance documentation processes.
  • Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
