The Role

As a Loyalty Analytics Intern, you'll unlock new insights, frameworks, and decision-making capabilities from loyalty data for the Deckers Global Consumer Experience & Engagement team. You'll apply strong quantitative and analytical skills to explore loyalty data, build models, develop measurement approaches, and create segmentation frameworks that inform how the business designs rewards, challenges, and Member experiences. This role offers creative freedom to surface new opportunities, hypotheses, and recommendations that can be scaled across Deckers brands.

Your Impact

  • Analyze raw and curated loyalty datasets to identify patterns, drivers, and opportunities across engagement, rewards, and Member behavior
  • Synthesize insights and articulate their impact for downstream decisions
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, business-ready narratives and recommendations
  • Develop measurement approaches for key loyalty questions, including incrementality and behavior change over time
  • Build or refine analytical models using available data and document assumptions, limitations, and recommended use cases
  • Support the design or refinement of a Loyalty cohort index and propose loyalty-driven segments with clear definitions
  • Identify hypotheses for segment activation strategy and segment migration causes
  • Translate business questions into clear data requests and briefs for partner teams
  • Produce documentation, readouts, and summaries to enable reuse of frameworks and insights
  • Share progress and learnings with stakeholders regularly

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Academic, internship, or project experience applying quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, or data science methods
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work from ambiguity toward structured insights
  • Ability to synthesize findings into clear, concise written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable partnering with others to request, shape, interpret, and articulate large and imperfect datasets
  • Experience with application of modeling frameworks and familiarity with experimentation concepts
  • Experience working with data using tools such as Python, R, Excel, or equivalent analytical platforms (preferred)
  • Exposure to loyalty programs, customer analytics, or marketing analytics (preferred)
  • Familiarity with customer segmentation approaches (preferred)
  • Interest in applying AI to assist with data analysis and modeling (preferred)
