Job description

This position is responsible for the development and delivery of business intelligence solutions, with a focus on designing and implementing reports and dashboards using MS Fabric, MicroStrategy, BusinessObjects (BO), and other enterprise reporting tools. The role involves translating business requirements into effective BI solutions, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with organizational goals.

The position requires strong technical skills in MS Fabric, MicroStrategy, BO, data modeling, and related technologies. The individual will help maintain the consistency and integrity of reported data, work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, and deliver analytical insights to support strategic and operational decisions.

Responsibilities: 

  • Delivers timely and accurate scheduled (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) reporting. Summarize disparate data to formulate analysis to business requirements. (40%)
  • Independently clarifies report needs with business to understand the purpose and content of request, utilizes systems to create and deliver analysis to meet clients' needs, audits and analyzes data to verify quality and data integrity. Points out and research data anomalies. (20%)
  • Develops and delivers complex ad hoc reports and business unit specific information. Provide suggestions and recommendations to perform the necessary analytics to ensure requests are complete and accurate. (30%).
  • Learns new technologies and systems to advance knowledge of reporting and analysis. (10%)

  • Develop BI solution architecture - ensure best practices, governance, and internal processes are followed in solution design and implementation.
  • Deliver full lifecycle BI development - from requirements gathering through design, build, testing, and deployment, ensuring solutions meet business needs and are delivered on time.
  • Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions - including reports, dashboards, and metrics using MS Fabric, Power BI, Power Automate, Google BigQuery, SQL, and other enterprise reporting tools.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and integrity - apply best practices in data analysis, test design, validation, documentation, and proactive quality measures.
  • Analyze and optimize complex data systems - document data elements, flows, relationships, dependencies, and perform root cause analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Stay current with BI trends and innovations - proactively explore and adopt emerging tools and practices.
  • Demonstrate strong technical expertise - advanced SQL skills, experience with relational databases, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Education/Experience

  • At least 10+ years of development experience of Design, develop, and implementing solutions using BI tools.
  • 3 or 4-year college degree in Business, Accounting, IS, Engineering and 8-10 years analytics and reporting experience.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus
