They are responsible for managing projects, setting priorities, and ensuring that data-driven insights support business decisions. The main difference between a Data Analyst Supervisor and a Data Analyst lies in leadership responsibilities. Both roles require similar educational backgrounds and technical skills, but the supervisor position involves additional leadership and management duties.

How does a Data Analyst Supervisor balance hands-on data analysis with team management responsibilities?

A Data Analyst Supervisor often splits their time between directly supporting complex data projects and guiding their team’s day-to-day activities. While they are still involved in high-level data analysis and validation, a significant portion of their role includes mentoring analysts, managing project timelines, and ensuring quality standards are met. Effective supervisors delegate routine tasks, provide training, and facilitate collaboration with other departments, such as IT or business units. This balance allows them to maintain technical expertise while fostering team growth and ensuring project success.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Data Analyst Supervisor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Data Analyst Supervisor, you need strong analytical skills, experience in data interpretation, and a background in statistics or a related field, often supported by a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Proficiency with data visualization tools (such as Tableau or Power BI), SQL databases, and knowledge of programming languages like Python or R is typically required. Leadership, effective communication, and mentoring abilities are essential soft skills for guiding teams and translating complex data insights to stakeholders. These skills ensure accurate data-driven decision-making, team effectiveness, and clear communication of findings in organizational settings.

Who We Are
Weezie sells design-forward, customizable luxury home goods and gifts, with a focus on bath. Now is an exciting time to join the Weezie team as we were named one of the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing companies in 2024, and are coming off even higher double-digit growth in 2025! With a team of 85 employees who work hard but also know how to #enjoythestay, we're searching for an Operations Analyst / Supervisor to lead frontline operations inside our Austell fulfillment center as we continue to scale.
The Role
Weezie is looking for an Operations Analyst / Supervisor to lead daily fulfillment and production operations inside our Austell facility. This role is responsible for driving operational execution across labor planning, workflow prioritization, throughput, and team performance in a fast-paced environment where speed, accuracy, and accountability matter.
You will oversee daily workflow execution, coach associates and team leads to drive strong productivity, throughput, and operational performance, and adjust priorities in real time based on order volume, staffing, aging orders, and shipping deadlines. Working closely with cross-functional partners, leads, and supervisors, you'll identify operational bottlenecks, remove workflow blockers, and support process improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and accountability across the operation.
This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, maintains composure and good judgment under pressure, and enjoys balancing real-time execution with people leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong operational instincts, high standards for organization and safety, and a mindset centered around continuous improvement and team performance.
What You'll Do
Fulfillment Execution & Order Flow (40%)
  • Oversee daily fulfillment and production processes across the Austell operation, including in-house customization workflows
  • Own order prioritization and workflow pacing based on shipping deadlines, aging orders, staffing, and business needs
  • Own visibility into productivity, throughput, utilization, and operational dashboards to identify risks, remove bottlenecks, and maintain on-time fulfillment
  • Drive execution against operational KPIs while maintaining accuracy, quality, and workflow consistency
  • Maintain strong cross-functional alignment with CX, Inbound & Inventory partners, and other leads and supervisors to quickly resolve blockers and escalations

Team Leadership & Floor Management (40%)
  • Lead, coach, and develop fulfillment associates and leads through clear expectations, real-time feedback, accountability, and performance management
  • Build a production culture rooted in ownership, urgency, resilience, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Support Fulfillment Leads in delivering consistent real-time coaching and feedback by identifying performance trends, reinforcing best practices, and driving individual development
  • Lead by example on the floor while reinforcing SOP adherence, workplace organization standards, and operational discipline
  • Communicate priorities clearly and maintain alignment during both standard operations and peak periods

Operational Improvement & Scalability (20%)
  • Use operational data and observation to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput, utilization, and process consistency
  • Partner cross-functionally to strengthen workflows, improve operating rhythms, and increase organizational accountability as Weezie scales
  • Support WMS and process improvements, including rollout, adoption, training, and change management across the operation
  • Enhance and maintain SOPs by identifying best practices, standardizing workflows, and coaching teams toward consistent execution
  • Help build durable operational processes and operating discipline that scale effectively through change, growth, and peak periods

Who You Are
  • 1-3 years of leadership or operations experience in fulfillment, warehouse operations, logistics, manufacturing, retail operations, hospitality, or another fast-paced, process-driven environment
  • Strong people leader who builds accountability, coaches performance, and motivates teams to operate at a high level
  • Highly organized and operationally minded, with strong judgment, prioritization, and real-time problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable using operational data to improve execution and team performance
  • Clear, direct communicator who can create alignment, deliver feedback effectively, and stay composed under pressure
  • Hands-on, dependable leader who leads by example and enjoys rolling up your sleeves alongside your team
  • Curious, resilient, and solution-oriented, with high standards for execution
  • Understands the direct connection between operational execution and customer experience, and takes pride in delivering both consistently
