Job description

Job Title: Financial Data Analyst (Margin Analysis)

Location: Loveland, CO (Will NOT consider relocation candidates)

Workplace Type: Hybrid – 3 days onsite

Contract Duration: Through December 2026 (strong potential for extension)

About the Role

We’re seeking a motivated Financial Data Analyst to support a large North American finance organization during a critical SAP transformation. This role is ideal for a hands‑on analyst who enjoys solving margin issues, partnering with the business, and turning financial data into actionable insights. You’ll work closely with regional finance leaders and operations teams, playing a key role in improving profitability across the business.


Responsibilities
  • Perform daily margin analysis to proactively identify issues and trends
  • Research margin declines related to costs, rebates, freight, and supplier programs
  • Partner with regional and field teams to answer questions on P&Ls and financial performance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and strategic initiatives
  • Assist with monthly close and financial reporting activities
  • Create and deliver accurate, timely financial reports using BI tools
  • Collaborate across North American regions to identify profitability opportunities
  • Support data harmonization, testing, and legacy system integration during SAP implementation

Tools & Environment
  • SAP (Finance/Accounting exposure preferred; ERP experience required)
  • Power BI (data modeling & reporting)
  • Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)

Competencies
  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Analysis
  • Strong margin analysis and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with finance, operations, and business leaders
  • Self‑starter who can take direction and run with it
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
  • Prior mentorship or support of junior analysts is a plus
