Teaching Strategies is an innovative edtech organization focused on connecting teachers, children, and families. As front runners in the early childhood education market, we build dynamic, top-quality digital products that integrate all the essential elements of a high-quality solution: curriculum, assessment, professional development, and family engagement. We are building a team of results-oriented individuals who will thrive in a collaborative, work-hard/play-hard culture. We pride ourselves on the impact we have on the early childhood field through supporting teachers who are doing the most important work there is, teaching children to become creative, confident thinkers.

Position Overview

Teaching Strategies is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the product strategy, execution, and delivery of our Childcare Center Management system, including billing, staffing, enrollment, and classroom operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for administrator workflows that are intuitive, efficient, and integrated with the other elements of the SmartTeach platform experience. You will be responsible for defining and driving the product strategy, roadmap, and requirements. You will work closely with engineering, design and QA to use AI-enabled development practices across the team to accelerate delivery and ensure quality, while also defining and delivering AI-powered product capabilities that simplify and automate center management workflows.

Success in this role will involve building a high-performing team that uses AI-native development practices to deliver complex roadmap initiatives quickly without compromising quality.  You will launch features that reduce operational effort for administrators and drive measurable gains in adoption, engagement, and retention, and revenue impact.
  • Define and execute product strategy, vision, and roadmap aligned to company goals.
  • Lead and coach an Associate Product Manager, focusing on clear ownership and accountability.
  • Drive delivery across multiple agile teams, ensuring speed, quality, and alignment.
  • Implement AI-enabled and agentic development practices (e.g., AI-assisted requirements, prototyping, testing, QA) to improve velocity and quality.
  • Identify and prioritize AI opportunities within center management workflows (billing, enrollment, staffing, & family engagement) to reduce the administrative burden.
  • Partner with Engineering and Design to use AI capabilities to deliver intuitive, high-value product experiences.
  • Own prioritization across features, bugs, technical debt, and AI initiatives.
  • Use data, analytics, and experimentation to guide decisions and improve product performance.
  • Engage customers to validate solutions and maintain deep understanding of user needs.
  • Communicate strategy, progress, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership.
  • Lead successful product launches with clear market impact and adoption.
Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of product management experience, including leadership of complex product areas.
  • Proven track record delivering high-quality SaaS products in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience owning product strategy, roadmap, and execution end-to-end.
  • Strong experience using data, analytics, and user research to drive prioritization and decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI across the software development lifecycle to improve delivery speed and quality.
  • Experience identifying and delivering AI-powered product features that solve real customer problems.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and business stakeholders.
