Job Description

We are looking for a DAS Construction Manager to join our fast growing company. CoServe is on the verge of exponential growth supporting clients like AT&T and IBM. Because of this we are looking for exceptional Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) CM's. The perfect candidate has a telecommunications services background with a focus on DAS Deployments. The Construction Manager will oversee the completion of a DAS project from start to finish. This individual will be the central point of contact for the customer and the CoServe Operations Manager. We are looking for someone with a depth of both DAS and BTS knowledge. Our CM's are very hands on, but they must also be able to lead others extremely well. If this sounds like you, please apply today!


Responsibilities

  • Familiarity working in small to large office buildings, colleges, hospital etc.
  • Allocate on-site resources and make construction decisions for the assigned projects in accordance with company policies, standards, guides and contractual commitments. Decision guidance received from Sr. Construction Managers.
  • Accountable for site safety, quality, schedule, and cost control on assigned projects.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, perform accurate material inventories, reconcile construction activities and manage scope change during construction.
  • A strong understanding of construction practices and organizational skills is a must.
  • Ability to understand and read construction documentation and drawings
  • Possess Construction management skills including: CAD/design review, implementation, and project management.
  • Providing oversight of construction execution on all assigned construction projects, schedule construction, and drive completion to meet schedule and budget expectations.
  • Report project status and performance as required to management.
  • Comfortable and professional in working with client and landlord, including the ability to articulate project requirements.
  • Record and document testing per customer specifications.
  • Travel is required 90%, Work/Life Balance is very important to CoServe.


Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate with have the following technical background (but not limited to):

  • Experience installing DAS or In-Building Cellular Systems.
  • Background in Project & Construction Management.
  • Strong history managing subcontractors.
  • A strong background in RF theory.
  • Hands-on installation experience with Cat 5/ Fiber/ Coax.
  • Experience using fiber fusion splicing machines and operate a variety of different OTDR and power meters.
  • Experience testing utilizing OTDRs, Power Meter/Light Sources and VFLs.
  • Experience with antenna types, antenna mounts, coax, grounding systems and AC and DC power. Experience with coax testing methodology (distance-to-fault, etc).
  • Experience installing 1/2" and larger coax.
  • Previous experience sweep testing coax & fiber.
  • Experience with PIM testing.
  • Previous experience using OTDR, Spectrum Analyzer (Anritsu), Signal Generator and similar test equipment.
  • Experience working with major wireless carriers (AT&T, Verizon, etc.)

Skills Required

  • Knowledge about Fiber installation, variations, patch panel installation, splicing and optical measurements.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to read blue prints & Visio drawings.
  • Job related certifications such as OSHA, connectors, testing, and experience with various manufacturers.
  • Working knowledge of environmental requirements including hazardous material, spill prevention, and other regulatory guidelines, general building maintenance, and vendor maintenance.
